Happy Birthday Davy Crockett

Today Kjel, Clayton, and I went to the Davy Crockett Birthplace State Park to participate in some birthday festivities for him. He wasn't there, but he had some look alikes there. His birthplace is just outside of Jonesborough, TN which is just down the road from us. We walked around and looked at different campsites and listened to the people while they demonstrated their skills at making wooden bowls, bows, shoes, soap, and food. We even watched some men in an ax throwing contest. It reminded me of the King Stakes game that Warren plays on campouts. Kjel and Clayton had money burning in their pockets, so Clayton bought a racoon hat and Kjel bought a Old Betsy Rifle. (Like we needed another toy gun in our house) We had a great time.

Jones Reunion

The beginning of July we attended the Jones Reunion in Rexburg Idaho. Here is a group picture of the family that was able to attend. You can click on the photo and take a closer look. Some of us (okay, I ) have a confused look on my face. This was taken with the tenth camera or something like that. So I will replace this with a better picture when someone sends one to me!

Here is a picture of Grandma and Grandpa with all of the grandkids that were in attendance. Oh, there is one great grandkid in the picture too!

Watauga Lake

One Saturday we decided to go to explore Watauga Lake.

It is just outside of Elizabethton, TN in the Appalachian mountains.

It was beautiful with the pretty blue water and green trees. We had a great time skipping rocks, swimming in the water and getting a little sunburned.

Friday

Warren's Graduation

Warren Graduated on May 19, 2007 with his Masters of Science in Nursing. He is now a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist or CRNA for short. He passed his boards and is now working for Tri-Cities Anesthesia in Johnson City Tennessee. He is a partner in a group of five Anesthetists. We are sure proud of him and his accomplishments. He has worked hard for many years now to accomplish this goal. Way to go Warren!
