TaraLyn began cello lessons back in third grade at Columbia Elementary with Mrs. Lopushinsky as her teacher. She has dreamed of having her very own cello ever since. Every Christmas and every birthday she would say that she wanted a cello. A few days after her 16th birthday her dreams came true when her beautiful new cello came Fed Ex from California. A week or so later she found out that she would be first chair in her High School Orchestra. She started taking private lessons this year. I have a video clip of her playing around on her new cello. Sorry that it is side ways, I keep forgetting that I can't turn the camera that way to video tape.

Senior Night
Breanne had her Senior Night for volleyball last week. No more home games for me. I am really sad. I enjoy watching the girls play volleyball. Anyway, she had a good game with good serves, great digs, and even a few hits from the back row. She is the libero this year and has done a great job playing the back row. The libero is a specialty player on the team who can go in for anyone that the coach wants her to go in for. She can only play the back row. All other players can only substitute for on other player. Her job is to dig the balls after the serves and hits and then get them to the setter. The libero wears a different color from the rest of the team so that the refs will know who they are.

Kjel is 12!
Kjel turned 12 on the 12th of September. He has enjoyed going to Young Mens, mutual, firesides, and the Priesthood session of General Conference. This month we are planning a trip over Fall Break to attend the temple so that he can do baptisms.
I am really proud of him. He has been working really hard on a few goals. The first one is in scouting...............He just received his life scout rank.
The second one is that he has been working on losing some weight. He lost 13 lbs in the last two months. We are continuing to work hard at that and he is planning on losing more over the next six months.
He has been doing well in middle school. He likes to play his trombone. He is really growing up. I am still a few inches taller than him, but I suppose that will only last a few more months. He is taller than Kjirsten and TaraLyn.

Fun with Kim
I couldn't go to Utah and not have some fun. Thanks Kim for planning all of the fun. We went to a John Schmidt concert at Thanksgiving Point.

We went along with Kjirsten and Joseph (who were on a date for Joseph's 18th birthday). I really enjoyed the concert, the surroundings were beautiful, the music was beautiful, and the entertainment was great. After I took Kjirsten to College I returned to Kim's and we had some more fun. We had to do some shopping for something to wear to the Gala that Kim had been invited to. She could bring a guest with her, so I got to go. We got all dressed up (Kim felt like she was getting ready for Prom) She probably doesn't want me to post pictures, but I am going to. She looked great.
We had yummy food and got to listen to the Nylons. We had a good time listening to them, it just seemed like everyone else around us was too stuffy to enjoy themselves. Kim and I also attended an art show that they were having at Thanksgiving point. While Kim was working I visited with Alvin and Amber one day and attended the temple on another day. It was nice to have a fun break. Thanks Kim!!!
