TaraLyn's YW project

I just wanted to post a picture of one of TaraLyn's finished YW projects. She made 6 bags for the primary teachers in our ward. We put all of the teachers supplies and their binders in them. The bag pattern is a diaper bag so it has pockets all around the bag which made it great for putting chalk and erasers, tape, glue sticks, etc. in them. We have two male teachers and four female teachers. So the lady teachers got floral print. Good job TaraLyn!!!

Finished Projects

My goal for January 2010 was to finish some projects that I started last year or maybe even before last year and hadn't finished them. The first one that I finished was my upstairs hallway. I painted the stairway the light green last Jan. or Feb. and started the hallway but ran out of paint. I never bought anymore paint and so it was unfinished for a year!!!!!!!!! Kjirsten helped me finish it. Here are two pictures. The one wall is a darker green and the stairway and hallways are a lighter green.

Last fall I painted the light fixtures but never posted a picture. They were brass and I like them much better now. I plan on doing the same thing to the light fixtures in my kitchen. That is a project that I didn't get to this month. Of course I haven't started that one, so it isn't necessarily unfinished.
Last Jan or Feb I started working on my second rug. I did stop for a month or so and make a different rug, but the rest of the year I have been working on this rug for my kitchen. It is identical to my first rug that is also in my kitchen in front of my refrigerator and freezer. I finished this one last night. It will go in front of my kitchen sink, but I took a picture of it in front of my new island.

My computer room has been driving me crazy forever. It was so white and cold! I love the new warm color. Kjirsten was so happy that I didn't paint it blue or green. I really tried to step out of my comfort zone and paint a color that wasn't necessarily me. I really like it. Of course it looks either darker or lighter depending on the time of day.
Well, that is it. Maybe I will get more done next month. Or start some projects that I can finish next year :}
