SNOW DAY

Yes, we got snow. Not very much, but we did get some. They cancelled school over this skiff of snow. Unbelievable, but true. The boys played outside all morning. The girls packed their rooms for the big move.


The boys found enough snow to build a little snowman.

Rhythm on the Ridge

Kjel is in a music group at school called "Rhythm on the Ridge" He has practice twice a week before school. They are a drum group and play African music on their drums. They hit the drums with their hands and sometimes with sticks. They have performed at a church activity, Barnes and Nobel, a teachers convention, and the school board meeting. They have some more performances coming up this spring.

Family Ice Skating Activity

One Saturday our family spent the morning painting Warren's office at the new house. After we worked hard we had some play time at the Bristol Speedway where they have an ice skating rink set up during the winter. Here are a few pictures of the fun.

VISITORS FOR CHRISTMAS

We were blessed to have family with us over the holidays. Neal and Amy came down from Buffalo, NY. They were here for about a week. They were able to join us for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Alvin and Amber came for a week after Christmas. They joined us for New Years. And then we also spent time with the cousins that live here........the Veech's. Thanks for a wonderful Christmas. We went to the Nelson's home for New Years Eve. (friends) Amber and Alvin came with us. HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!

PAINTING THE HOUSE

This is the office..........but for now it is Mom and Dad Jones Room. Warren selected the color. It looks very masculine. It reminds me of Boy Scout Pants, but Warren loves scouting so I suppose that it is a good color for him.
The boys selected camoflauge comforters for their beds. This tan color went well with the blankets. They really like the color.
I started to paint the kitchen. I needed to paint this wall before the refrigerator and freezer were installed. So it is now painted and I will get to the others later. Here is a before picture.And this is an after picture

This is afterwards................we also got a new king size bed. The bed looks small in this picture, but it isn't. This is a close up of my comforter. It is a silver color with embroidery on it.

This is going to be a major project. We need to paint the inside and outside of the house. So, we started with Breanne and TaraLyn's room. I wanted to do it while they were home for Christmas and had time to help. We bought comforters for their beds and picked some colors that were in the comforters. Here are some before and after shots. It took us about 8 hours to paint this room with three of us working on it most of the time. It is a large room with 9ft ceilings.

BEFOREAFTERWe are still working on Kjirsten's room. Here are the pictures so far. Kjirsten's boyfriend Will has been helping her paint. Right now they are working on getting the stripes taped off so they can paint the next color. She also got a new comforter and a cool nightstand.
