The Grinch Stole Our Christmas

Okay, so this Christmas was one that we will never forget. It is also one that I don't want to plan again. Keeping a huge secret from your kids for two months is like living a double life. It is close to impossible to not slip a ton of times and there were times when I just wanted to tell them. But it was worth all of the effort Christmas morning when they found out that we had bought the home that they all loved. So this is how it all worked out. We made an offer on a house in October. We closed on the house the Wednesday before Christmas. The night of closing we started to put up the Christmas decorations, Christmas lights on the house, cleaning of the house, and putting up the zip line in the back yard. It took some work every day before Christmas. Christmas eve after everyone had gone to bed "The Grinch" came and stole all of the presents from our house. The presents were taken to the new house. Christmas morning the kids woke up to no presents and only a clue left behind. The clue took them on a drive to several different places before they ended up at the new house. They were so excited that we didn't even open up presents for awhile. They were just busy looking at the house and the zip line. It was a very fun day.

I love it! The stockings are so cute...the theme is great. What a fun picture you took with the mantle over the mirror. The tree looks like it had a lot of fun ornaments. Whew...you did it! You created a christmas that will never be forgotten and hard for people to top. You are living up to your name. Making it hard to keep up with the Jones's. :)
