More updates on the house

Breanne and TaraLyn got the chalkboard painted on their wall. They had fun writing on it. Now Clayton thinks he needs a chalkboard in his room. I have plenty paint left, so I suppose that we will let him have one too. We painted the dresser and wall cubes brown for the girls room. I am working on the stripes in Kjirsten's room. Not my favorite paint job at all.

Valentines Day

We celebrated Valentines Day by having the missionaries over for dinner. Everyone was to make Valentines for everyone else. It was fun to get Valentines from each other. So the girls weren't very excited about having to make valentines for the missionaries, but the missionaries were happy to get valentines. Grandma and Grandpa gave us valentine stories of our ancestors. Warren gave everyone a big candybar. Kjirsten bought some valentine candies and Breanne gave us valentine heart suckers that said amor on them. TaraLyn, Kjel and Clayton made valentines. I made my valentines by using crystal light containers and covering them with paper and filling them with chocolates. Marta wanted to see pictures of them, so that is why I am putting them on the blogspot.

TaraLyn with Braces

TaraLyn got her braces put on February 7th. She had pink bands put on this time. Yesterday she had two teeth extracted and will have two more done in a few weeks. She hasn't been feeling well the last few days. But she is excited for straight teeth.........................in a few years!

Grandpa and Warren made a fire pit in our back yard. We roasted marshmellows and hot dogs last Friday night. Yummy Smores!

Kjirsten has a job!!!!

Back in October and November Kjirsten applied for jobs at quite a few different places. She never got any calls back. Then last week one of the places gave her a call. She went in for an interview and was hired. So she is working at FUN EXPEDITION which is a family fun center. We went there for Kjel's birthday back in September. I think that I posted pictures from that on here. It was actually the first place that she applied. She is working in the pizza buffet area and the party center. She has a uniform that she gets to wear. Her are pictures of her in her uniform.

Just to let you know, I have been having some problems with spam and viruses being posted in my comment boxes. I have deleted those postings and have changed some of my settings in hopes that they can't add anymore. But, if you see some weird comment that doesn't make sense or that you don't recognize, don't read it or push any links. Down and Derby

We ended January with the annual pinewood derby. This year Warren was in charge and did a great job.

There were 7 or 8 boys that raced. Afterwards there was a family race. Kjel did a good job on his car. He had some tough competition and took third place.

Kjel's car is the gold one in the middle.Clayton and Warren also made new cars for the family race. Grandpa, Grandma, and Breanne raced old cars. Grandpa ended up winning the family race

and Grandma placing third. No.........................we were not the only ones in the race, there were a total of 19 cars racing. Grandpa had a huge fan club chanting "Grandpa, Grandpa" every time his car went down the track.
