Today Kjel, Clayton, and I went to the Davy Crockett Birthplace State Park to participate in some birthday festivities for him. He wasn't there, but he had some look alikes there. His birthplace is just outside of Jonesborough, TN which is just down the road from us.

We walked around and looked at different campsites and listened to the people while they demonstrated their skills at making wooden bowls, bows, shoes, soap, and food.
We even watched some men in an ax throwing contest. It reminded me of the King Stakes game that Warren plays on campouts.
Kjel and Clayton had money burning in their pockets, so Clayton bought a racoon hat and Kjel bought a Old Betsy Rifle. (Like we needed another toy gun in our house) We had a great time.
