Buffalo, NY

RaeAnne and I went on our annual spring break trip. We went to Buffalo to visit Neal and Amy before Neal finishes school, and also to see the fun things in the area. My nephew Curtis had his third birthday while we were there.

We got to celebrate his birthday, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter all in one week. We checked out different things in the area. Our first stop was the Jello Museum where the Jello Corporation was started. It was fun to see the different marketing for jello over the years. There are 18 different varieties of jello today with red jello being the most popular.

Jello has been named the official snack for the state of Utah. People in Utah purchase twice as much jello as anywhere else in the USA. It must be all of those potluck dinners or compassionate service meals.

In a study that was done, they found that lime jello has the same wave length as a humans brain. Strange, but true.

Here is a picture of the "Jello Girl". My neice Camille poised as the Jello Girl.

Hell-o Jell-o doormat.

The next day we went to the home of Fisher Price Toys.

It was fun to see the first toys that were made and how they have some of the same toys today, they are just modernized.

This toy dog was made in 1938. They still make pull dogs and other animals today! My favorite was seeing toys that I remember playing with. How many of you remember these?

These toys were made in the 1950's, 1970's, and 1990's
