The first part of September I took Kjirsten to BYU-I. We flew to Salt Lake and spent some time at IKEA stocking up on apt. stuff. On Sunday we drove with the Bunkers (from Illinois) up to Rexburg. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday they had orientation and registration activities. We were very busy the whole time getting everything taken care of. We spoke to counselors and rearranged her major and some of her classes. We bought books, food, and all kinds of misc. stuff that you just can't bring on the plane. Kjirsten has five roommates that she loves. I did much better than I thought I would leaving her. I teared up a little, but I was just thankful that I was leaving her in such a great environment. I know that she will do great. She will have many wonderful opportunities and she will really thrive there. Here is a list of her classes. Intro to Biology, Chemistry, Writing class, College Algebra, New Testament, and Chamber Choir. I think that is it. She has 16 credits which should keep her very busy. Here are some pictures of her in Rexburg
Kjirsten lives in the basement of this house. Below is a picture of the roommate that she shares a room with. Kjirsten is on the bottom bunk.
Here she is unpacking which took days since we were so busy with orientation stuff. The blanket on her bed was given to her by the YW and RS for graduation.
This is Joseph and Kjirsten standing on the street just outside Kjirsten's apartment. You can see the Spori building on campus behind them. She is in a great location.
The rest of the pictures were at the gardens on campus.
