UPDATES TO MY HOME DECOR

Here are a few things that I have added to our home over the last six months:

Curtains over the kitchen sink:

Close up picture so that you can see the stripes on the top. I thought that it turned out pretty cute.

I found this oil painting on one of my trips to Sam's Club. They were having an oil painting show and I loved this one. I have been looking for something like this for awhile for the kitchen, but most paintings like this have more reds and oranges and as you can tell my wall is a plum color. This one works well with my color scheme

Here is a picture of it on the wall and you can see the other curtains that are in the kitchen that I finished way back in February.

We created an area in the girls room where they could do their make-up and hair. We still need to get some stools for them to sit on. Of course there is one mirror for Breanne and one for TaraLyn.

Curtains for the boys room: I am trying to pull in an old fashioned plane theme with their camouflage bedspreads. I found this material and thought that it would work well. I used the same pattern as I did for the kitchen drapes, but figured that it would be okay because the rooms are on different ends of the house and on different floors. Besides that, who really cares besides me.

I did this project yesterday. I have brass fixtures everywhere in my home. I spray painted these lights by my front door. I thought that they turned out nice and look a ton better. It was so easy that I started to do the same thing to the light fixtures inside my home.
