Christmas Season 2010

Traditionally we do some kind of family activity every day of December until Christmas. I have an advent calendar with pockets that I put the activity description for the day in and they pick it out every morning to find out what we are doing. I always include the things that are normal holiday activities - concerts, ward activities, etc. So we have already had many events. I will share some pictures of them. We have done some that I haven't taken pictures of..............we made snowflakes to decoarte for Breanne's b-day party, hot chocolate and donuts, Christmas movie, lights at the Bristol Motor Speedway (we even drove on the speedway), we will bake goodies tomorrow and go caroling on Sunday. Monday the big event is Kjirsten coming home, we have a shopping day and a family party with the Veech and Dulude families. Here are pictures of the ward activity.

It was a play and Clayton was a sheep. The primary children did the play. I can't believe I only have one child left in Primary!!!!! Actually that isn't true, Breanne just accepted a calling to teach Sunbeams and Kjirsten will be our chorister again when she gets home.
TaraLyn has had a Christmas Cello concert with her private lesson group and one with the school orchestra. She also went with a smaller group to play at the tree lighting ceremony at the Children's hospital.

Kjel had his first band concert the other night. He started playing the trombone this year. There are over a hundred 6th grade band students and I knew that we wouldn't be able to see him at the concert, so I video taped him at home before the concert. Hope you enjoy:}

TaraLyn and Breanne had an art and pottery show that we attended. Both were taking pottery and Breanne has art.

Here are some of TaraLyn's creations:

Warren, Kjel, and Clayton decorated the gingerbread house. I thought that they did a super job. Breanne was at work and I was with TaraLyn at cello lessons. We haven't all been to all of the activities, but we do our best.

Christmas is now over and I never finished this post........I can't remember what else we did other than it snowed 6-8 inches, which is very unusual for here. Everyone had fun playing in the snow. I took pictures of it and Christmas, but accidently deleted all of the pictures from my camera. OOPS! I do have one picture that TaraLyn took on her phone. Warren, Kjel, TaraLyn, and Clayton built this. It stood 9ft 3in. the night that they built it. It then began to lean and eventually Kjel knocked it over and built a fort with the snow.

Love the Ceramics!! Nice zebra bowl Breanne!!
That is a cool snowman. We had pretty fluffy snow this year so we had a little snowman made out of the pile the snow plow left.
